Timeline (project documents)

The timeline visualizes project documents by date so you can quickly understand what happened when. Open it from a project via the Timeline tab, alongside Documents and Tasks.

Which date is used?

The timeline prefers:

1. the metadata file date (file_created_at), otherwise
2. the upload/creation date.

Tip: if your timeline looks wrong, update file_created_at in the document info modal.

Granularity: day / month / year

You can group the timeline by:

• month (good default),
• year (overview),
• day (detail).

For long timelines, switching to day-level can trigger a warning (dense and potentially slower). That’s expected.

Typical actions

Depending on your UI and permissions you may be able to:

• expand/collapse grouped days,
• jump to a year/date,
• open document info,
• delete documents (with confirmation).
