Quick start (Prudai Platform)

This is the shortest route to a good first experience in LEO, VERA, or ZIA.

If you mainly want to…Pick
do broad legal research, use research jobs, or work with partner-office flowsLEO
work on Omgevingswet, IPLO, and official publicationsVERA
work from internal knowledge, project documents, and tasksZIA

Nuance:

  • LEO lite is a narrower LEO scope; the pages on Knowledge and Projects explain the differences where they matter.
  1. Open the Prudai Platform web app at https://app.prudai.com.
  2. Sign in via SSO.
  3. Confirm which product is active in the UI or in Settings.

More: Sign-in & product selection and Settings.

2) Fill in your Vakgebied (specialization) once

Section titled “2) Fill in your Vakgebied (specialization) once”

The first time you sign in, a short three-step stepper appears:

  1. Legal areas — pick what matches your work.
  2. Role — for example lawyer, in-house counsel, or paralegal.
  3. Industries — sectors you mainly work in.

At the end of step 3 your profile saves automatically. You can adjust it later in Settings. If you skip it, you will see a one-time reminder pop-up later. The profile shapes answers, suggested sources, and research suggestions.

  1. Go to Projects.
  2. Click New project.
  3. Use a clear name such as Client - Matter - Year.
  4. Open it immediately.

Why this is the default route:

  • project documents become the main chat context;
  • tasks, timeline, and collaboration all attach to the project;
  • sharing with colleagues happens at project level.

More: Projects.

The same upload rules apply to:

  • Files (personal),
  • project documents,
  • chat attachments.

Supported examples:

  • documents such as .pdf, .docx, .xlsx
  • presentations such as .pptx and .ppt
  • audio such as .mp3, .m4a, .wav
  • images, email files, CAD, and .zip

Important:

  • wait until files show Processed;
  • chat will block sending while new attachments are still processing;
  • ZIP files must finish extraction before their inner files become usable.

More: Files.

Go to Knowledge and turn on only the sources/tools relevant to the task. The page is split into tabs such as Sources, Tools, Personal, and Organization, with a filter bar, grouped cards, and attention indicators when something needs configuration.

Rule of thumb:

  • LEO: broad legal source set plus research jobs.
  • VERA: Omgevingswet, IPLO, official publications, RvA, and BIM (IFC/DWG).
  • ZIA: internal documents, tasks, calculator, Word review, and Nedap ONS.

More: Knowledge.

Prefer:

  • @ to mention documents,
  • # to mention tasks,
  • clear instructions about goal, audience, and format.

Examples:

  • “Summarize this matter in 10 bullets with risks and next steps.”
  • “Find the relevant regulations and cite the articles.”
  • “Use only @contract.docx and @briefing.pdf.”

More: Chat.

Common end steps:

  • export an answer to Word or PDF;
  • translate an existing document through Translate;
  • save a Word export into project files;
  • clear workflow items through Notifications if you use partner or collaboration flows.
